Bookkeeping Clerk / Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a positive, energetic, personable team player for a full-time, position. This individual will be mainly responsible for bookkeeping and office administration functions. A coachable team player with bookkeeping experience and excellent customer service skills is imperative for this position.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary study with a specialization in small business bookkeeping /accounting, or at least 1 years’ experience directly relating to field of study
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, skilled in a Windows environment, Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and high proficiency in Excel)
  • Excellent command of English language (verbal, written)
  • Proficiency in other business machines is essential
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks
  • Must be very organized and comfortable in multi-tasking on a daily basis

Job Function / Description

Office Administration: 60% of role

  • Answering a high volume of incoming calls throughout the day- shared phone duties with other Admin Staff
  • Booking students into our registration system for courses
  • Shared front desk duties (certificate replacement, walk-ins etc.)
  • Opening and closing duties
  • Equipment rentals, orders and shipping
  • Other duties, as required

Bookkeeping Clerk: 40% of role

  • Invoicing
  • Accounts Payable – entering and paying bills monthly in a timely fashion
  • Liaise with Registrar / Course Coordinator pertaining to invoicing.
  • Communicate with customers and vendors regarding invoicing, billing, etc.
  • Administrative Support as required by various departments

Sales / Business Development Officer

  • Working knowledge of personal computers in a Windows environment, common software programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook);
  • Excellent organizational skills and high level of honesty and integrity
  • Ability to think critically, be a self-starter, work independently or as a team;
  • Excellent verbal and written command of the English language

Job Function / Description:

Office Administration

  • Ongoing Sales / Customer Relations / Training Agreements / Quotes / Follow-ups and Recalls
  • Telephone and front desk relief / coverage, as required
  • Administrative duties as required for role

Business Development:

  • Build market position by exploring, locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.
  • Coordinate sales meetings, office tours, etc…
  • Ongoing client relations
  • Sales and Marketing

First Aid Instructor

We are always looking for professional, dynamic individuals who are excited about teaching the essential skills of First Aid to individuals from all walks of life.

Join our team of energetic Instructors who teach CPR & First Aid/BLS/Babysitting. If you want to work part-time or more and get paid a competitive wage of $18/hr. +, this might be for you.

Excellent command of the English language is mandatory to deliver our programs.
Part time to Full time work at our Edmonton training facility is available mostly weekdays, weekends and some evenings required.
